The course consists of 8 weekly two hour sessions, plus a day retreat. We look at mindful communication, cognitive theory, and practices. We also cover how to build and maintain a regular mindfulness practice. A manual, as well as guided meditations for home practice, are provided. And, at the end of the course, we provide a signed certificate of attendance that can be used for further courses, or for your CPD training at work.
In just 8 weeks, we will provide you with the core skills necessary to build a solid mindfulness practice that can help you to maintain a healthy fulfilling life.
In the sessions, we will explain the core principles of mindfulness. we'll lead practices and discussions to help participants develop their skills. As well as offering tools, and advice on maintaining their own personal practice.
The retreat is immersive and expands on the weekly sessions! The retreat reinforces the skills and techniques covered. It also introduces new ones to give you a foundation on which to continue your practice.
Because of the intensive, collaborative nature of the course, we keep each course cohort small.

“Dr Avinash is a truly wonderful teacher wha has people at the very centre of the work he does. I took part in an 8 week mindfulness course and I can honestly say it changed my life completely - in a a very positive way! I would thoroughly recommend any of his courses.”
“The course has been an excellent introduction to Mindfulness. You can read books and listen to recordings, etc. But, I found attending a course with others and swapping feedback to be very helpful and beneficial. I especially enjoyed the group meditations.”
“The programme has shown me, for the first time, that there is an approach that can work for me. Both the practical outcome of seeing benefits immediately as well as the reaffirmation that something exists that can help, have been very important.”
“I have read about mindfulness, been on retreats and tried to develop these practices but I have never been taught how to do these techniques before. This course has offered a well structured, well taught programme with plenty of handouts to really enable me to learn the mindfulness techniques.”
“It's so much better to see things as they truly are, not as we've made them in our minds.”
