Ann Richards

Mindfulness Teacher

With 20 years of practicing and training in mindfulness based approaches for wellbeing (MBA’s). I began training in Tai Chi , Chi Kung and mindfulness meditation in 2000.

Based in Edinburgh I have worked with a number of organisations including: Heriot-Watt University, EY, Ecas, Edinburgh Council, Scottish Huntington’s, Scottish Association of Young Farmers and Deaf Action.

I've trained with Rob Nairn and The Mindfulness Association in mindfulness and compassion (MBLC).

Since 2013 I have worked with Mindfullybeing. I love our ‘mantra ‘ poem by Rumi (Sufi Poet)

‘Come, Come, whoever you are ........’

which conveys the invitational, open, playful and very real approach we endeavour to bring to the training we offer at Mindfullybeing.

I have engaged in MBCT specialist teacher training with Bangor University, Centre For Mindfulness Research and Practice (CMRP).

I am passionate about my work as a way of living and being, not just as an intervention when times are difficult and coping with challenges, but also in cultivating and appreciating the joy of life in everyday experience.

We must look at the lens through which we see the world, as well as the world we see, and that the lens itself shapes how we interpret the world.”
